ALA Leadership Institute: Leading to the Future

The application process for the 2018 Leadership Institute opens on December 18, 2017. Applications will be accepted through March 9, 2018. 

The American Library Association (ALA) Leadership Institute is a unique 4-day immersive leadership development program for future library leaders led by past ALA President Maureen Sullivan and library and leadership consultant Kathryn Deiss.

The institute includes a structured learning track and the opportunity for individual development.

Unconferences are less-formal versions of regular conferences, where participants determine the agenda and outcome. Please join us for a few hours of discussing, learning from each other, collaborating, and brainstorming on our theme of Training and Advice-for-Work. Bring your questions, your ideas, your thoughts, and our classic CVLA can-do attitude as we explore this topic and how we can help CVLA members in this area. A few years ago we had our first Chat-for-Change Unconference; let’s carry it forward!
