Celebrating 20 Years of E-Rate

Event marks two decades of connecting schools and libraries to the internet.
January 24 marked the 20th anniversary of E-Rate, 
the landmark program that provides affordable internet 
access to US schools and libraries. 
That day the National Coalition for Technology in 
Education and Training (NCTET) and the American 
Library Association hosted advocates and activists from 
all corners of education, technology, telecommunications, 
and libraries for “Twenty Years of Connecting Schools and 
Libraries: A Celebration of E-Rate.”

20 Apps in 60 Minutes

The following online program will be offered free of charge on Wednesday 31 January at 12:00 pm (CENTRAL). 

This webinar will feature 20 amazing application for educators. We will cover apps that increase student engagement, apps for you (and your students!) to create your own instructional media, and productivity apps to keep you focused and organized. All of the featured apps are free and cross-platform. So keep your mobile device handy – participation will be encouraged.

Join us at the USU Merrill-Cazier Library (room 154) on January 24th for the presentation of the 2018 Library Hero Award, the introduction of the 2018 CVLA Executive Board, and an engaging panel on advocacy and community engagement in Cache Valley. 
Featured panelists will include librarians and community members from a range of disciplines and specialties across the Valley. 
There will also be time to socialize with light refreshments being served.
