Free Books for Your CVLA Library!

Posted on behalf of the Friends of the Logan Library

The Friends of the Logan Library is holding a book sale today Thursday March 22 through Saturday March 24th at the Logan Library.  We would like to offer any books that are still available at the end of the sale free to local libraries.  Stop by the sale Saturday afternoon between 2:00 and close of sale at 5:00 and tell the cashier you are with a CVLA library to get books for your library at no charge!

The 183 volume Something About the Author is one of our book sale items that we are dealing with it in a different way.  Any library that would like this great series let Anne Hedrich of the Friends of Logan Library know of your interest by email at anne.hedrich@usu.edu by the very end of the day (so 11:59 p.m.) Tuesday, March 27th.  At the CVLA meeting on March 28th (at 4:30 at Mount Logan Middle School in Logan!) we will draw a winner of all interested libraries from a hat.  We will also announce the winner over this list.  The winner doesn’t need to be present at the meeting.  You can also ask Anne if you have any questions about the process.

Karen Clark, Director of Logan Library, is willing to answer any questions about Something About the Author.  karen.clark@loganutah.org  The winning library will need to come to the Logan Library to get the 183 volumes.

RECAP:

Stop by between 2 and 5 on Saturday March 24th at the Logan Library to get free books for your library!

Let Anne anne.hedrich@usu.edu know of your interest in Something About the Author by end of day Tuesday March 27th.

Direct any questions about Something About the Author to Karen Clark  karen.clark@loganutah.org

Thanks!

Things to note: the route is downhill and flat – total distance of about 7.5 miles! Times listed are approximate. The Little Free Libraries are really clever and cute! Some of the owners will be able to come out and talk to us briefly about their libraries. Feel free to ride with the group or on your own. We can work out carpooling or take the CVTD buses to get back to the start to get vehicles.

Please bring:
Yourself! | Your bike | A helmet | Water | (optional) snacks for the ride, lunch for the picnic | sunscreen or other sun protection | You also might want to bring a book to donate to a Little Free Library (very optional)
